301 IMPROVING RUNNER'S INSTINCTS
bluebasebar.gif (4146 bytes)

More runs are scored by opportunism than by brawn. Simply, by the ability of batters and runners to move themselves around the bases by processing signs from their third base coach.
1. Focus your eyes on the strike zone, follow the ball as the bat makes
contact. Wherever the ball is hit, you are trying to determine if you can
    advance.
2. As soon as a coach gives you a stop sign, pick up the ball, and be prepared
for new instructions. You may have to make a quick decision yourself if
their is an error made fielding the ball.
3. Three things a base runner must know:
    Where the ball is.
     How many outs.
    The other teams' defence set-up.
