Lower Lever
Aerobic type exercises are all that this age group should be involved in. Remember that it doesn't take much to get their young bodies in good physical condition. The purpose of good physical condition should be only for the prevention of injuries.

Aerobic type exercises and a light dumbbell program are all that is required at this age level. Even the light dumbbell program should only be used by those who are entering puberty. That is when their body starts to produce hormones required for building muscle tissue. Generally a guideline is when they begin to have body hair.

Upper Level
Aerobic type exercises and the light dumbbell program along with a weight resistant program will develop muscle tissue and will help the athlete to perform better.
